MPU2C two channel unit
The MPU is a microprocessor-controlled multi-channel gas warning system. Each channel (max. six channels) can be configured individually to monitor different gases with up to three alarm concentrations (each with its own LED status display).
Other features:
- Adjustable alarm time delays.
- Manual / automatic alarm reset for each channel
- Built-in maintenance function and self-diagnosis program
- Four alarm relays with 230 V (nominal voltage) single-pole switches (SPDT)
- Fail-safe relay operation in the event of a power failure
- Acoustic alarm
- Backup battery available as an accessory
- Low voltage output for additional alarm indication.
OPERATION
After connecting the detector and power supply, the green LED flashes as the warm-up process starts. After about four minutes,
the green LED lights up permanently to indicate that the sensor is ready for operation.
Each channel has one yellow and two red warning LEDs. The yellow LED shows a low gas leak (above alarm limit value C), the two red LEDs show gas concentrations above the limit values B and A.
When detecting gas concentrations that are higher than the respective limit values, the corresponding LEDs flash until the time delay has elapsed, after which the LED lights up permanently and the corresponding relay switches. After the gas concentrations have been eliminated, the LEDs and relays switch back to normal state, unless the "manual reset" function has been selected.
An acoustic alarm is triggered if this has been defined for the respective alarm limit. The alarm cannot be muted. Technicians can suppress the alarm by accessing the “Service program”.
