The VA liquid separator is designed to be installed in the suction line to prevent liquid hammering. The evaporating temperature must not be lower than -40 °C and the suction temperature in the liquid separator not be lower than -12 °C. In the case of lower temperatures, the separator must be heated in order to ensure the oil return flow. A selection should be made based on the data in the performance table and not based on the connections! Please note: Always mount the separator vertically. Inlet = INLET. The recommended maximum power is based on a pressure loss equal to 0.55 °C. The minimum power is based on the lowest flow volume that will still allow reliable oil return.
