These testers are used to determine the frost protection provided by a mixture of water with Antifrogen N or L. Each type of Antifrogen has its own tester. A float is used to measure the density of the fluid to be tested. The frost resistance can then be read directly from the scale in minus degrees Celsius. These measurement devices are temperature-compensated. They operate independently from the temperature of the fluid being tested and the environment.
