The type FSA flange / solder adapter allows flange connections to be quickly and reliably changed into solder connections. The adapter provides a connection method that offers all the advantages of flange connections and allows for components to be exchanged quickly and easily. At the same time, the flange / solder adapter also offers this advantage for solder connections, i.e. a higher quality seal that prevents any leakage. The adapter does not feature any soft seals or O-rings that can make the seal less effective as they age. Instead, this adapter uses a copper washer that protects the flange against wear and metal fatigue. The copper washer is as effective as a solder connection. The copper washer needs to be replaced whenever the adapter is removed in order to replace flange components. Frost grooves in the cap nut mean that the adapter can also be used in humid environments where the temperature is below the freezing point of water. The cap nut cannot come loose due to trapped ice build-up. The adapter can ideally be used with components with flanged connections, such as pressure switches, filter dryers, inspection glasses, etc.
