Copeland Scroll™ compressors are already being used by all well-known heat pump manufacturers. Copeland has invested heavily in developing its ZH heat pump scroll compressors and carried out comprehensive testing to optimise them. They can now be used in private and commercial heat pump applications in new buildings as well as a replacement for conventional heating systems. Produced in Europe for Europe. The new ZH scroll compressor is suitable for all heat pump applications, whether space heating or hot water provision for private and commercial purposes, in new installations or as replacements for existing systems. The ZH scroll compressors can also be used in heat pumps that use direct evaporation where the refrigerant is used exclusively for heat transportation.
More heating power
The ZH scroll compressor delivers more power at lower evaporating temperatures (heat source), with the heat requirement being better covered compared with piston compressors. This results in lower energy consumption for an additional heater.
High efficiency
The ZH heat pump scroll compressor has a special scroll design that performs exceptionally well in heat pump applications, particularly where heat source temperatures are low. The ZH scrolls perform better over time, like all Copeland scroll compressors. Most piston compressors, however, tend to perform less well over time.
Higher water temperature in all applications
The ZH scroll compressor has been optimised for applications in new buildings where the requirements for space heating is at most 50 °C.
Quiet operation
The ZH scroll compressor is extremely quiet, which is a specific requirement for heat pumps that are installed indoors.
Durability and reliability
The ZH scroll compressor meets the high standards of durability and reliability, just like all other Copeland scroll compressors. These include the ability to let in comparatively large amounts of fluid in a short period of time. Such actions are known to damage and even destroy the mechanical parts of piston compressors. Fewer moving parts, a robust drive mechanism and low vibrations due to the continuous seal all make the ZH scroll compressor predestined to become the most popular solution in the heat pump market.
