The SCY noise absorber reduces the noise caused by gas pulsation in pressurised gas lines. These products are compatible with FC, HFC, CFC as well as their respective oils and additives. They are intended for use with non-hazardous group 2 refrigerants according to Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC. EC product classifications according to their volumes can be found in the table in the Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC. The noise absorbers are made entirely from steel. The design of the absorbers covers a wide frequency range. The noise absorber can be installed vertically or horizontally. Oil will not collect in the unit regardless of orientation. Refrigerant can flow in both directions. Optimum distribution of gaseous refrigerant is guaranteed with a minimal pressure loss. The welded connections are made from a copper-steel alloy up to 3/4” and allow welded seams with low silver content. The pressure resistance is therefore far better than connections made using copper alone.
