The Q motor is a shaded pole motor with square external dimensions. This square shape measuring 83 x 83 mm is a general standard.
Protection class
The ebm Q motors are closed and correspond to protection class IP42.
Attachment
The die-cast end shields on both sides (A and B sides) contain several mounting options. The protruding thread ends on the A-side are used to attach the protective grille and wall rings. The Q-Motor can also be screwed on using the mounting feet that are attached to the end shields. ebm offers versions with 26 mm (shaft height 51 mm) or 18 mm (shaft height 48 mm) foot spacing. The multifunctional version has combined both foot mounting dimensions in one motor.
Performance data
The performance data refer to the closed version IP42 using insulation class "B" and the nominal voltage 230 V, 50 Hz. At 60 Hz, the blade angle of the axial gears must be reduced by 6 °. With low ambient temperatures, very good cooling and short-term operation (S2), the Q-motors can also be designed more powerfully.
